Best of luck and GOSERE!!!! “There is no failure except in no longer trying, and I don’t plan to fail” -Gretchen Cordy Note: Mrs. Cordy was a Season 1 cast member on the reality show Survivor and former SERE Specialist.

PT Challenge #9 We are receiving allot of good feedback on the challenges. Feedback from current and past candidates: they would have liked to work more on their endurance. With limited hours in the day, consider extending your workout time to 1.0-1.5 hours while maintaining an elevated heart rate. In addition, consider at least two long runs a week of 6-8 miles at an 8-min. mile pace or better. Keep up the great work an GOSERE!!! “The principle is competing against yourself. It’s about self-improvement, about being better than you were the day before.” – Steve Young

Challenge #8 Two workouts again for the price of one. For those joining us for the first time, we suggest scrolling back to challenge #1 and adjusting your reps to your level of training to avoid injury or loss of motivation. Keep up the great effort and GOSERE!!! “Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.” – Marv Levy

Good Luck Brett Campfield! Go Wounded Warriors!
"The More You Know" As stated before on the page, it's crucial for a SERE Specialist to take lessons learned from past Isolated Personnel and pass them on to our students so they may "Return with Honor". Capt Lance P. Sijan's story is one you need to know about. This US Air Force officer and fighter pilot was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action in Southeast Asia at the risk of his life, above and beyond the call of duty. Special notes: In 1976, the Air Force Academy honored Captain Sijan, a 1965 graduate, by naming its newest cadet dormitory, Sijan Hall. In addition, annually the Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award recognizes select Air Force personnel who exhibit the highest example of professional and personal leadership standards. Note: Read more about this hero in the book, "Into the Mouth of the Cat", written by Malcolm McConnell Capt Sijan, You are Not Forgotten! GOSERE!!! 336th Training Group 58th Special Operations Wing
PT Challenge #7 Here we are at week 7 of our challenges being posted and hope you have started a solid base. By now you should have increased your reps to avoid leveling out your performance. “My attitude is that if you push me towards a weakness, I will turn that weakness into a strength.” – Michael Jordan-
